A New Year's Wish

Many questioned the budget donations allocated for Tacloban during the Typhoon Yolanda.

It was reported a political agenda made it hard to completely give it for disaster rehabilitation.

There was enough budget provided but the people can't feel it, many authorities asks where is the government help.

On December 23, President Benigno S. Aquino III signed the P2.606-trillion 2015 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

Supreme Court (SC) ruled the administration’s Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) as partly unconstitutional.

For the fifth consecutive year of the National Budget is in time for Administration’s spending program for rapid, long-term, and inclusive development.

It also strengthens fiscal, development, and governance reforms already instituted by the Aquino administration, besides supporting the country’s unique requirements for post-disaster rehabilitation and climate change.

May this budget really help for post-disaster rehabilitation. May this will not remain as promises.

GAA duly reflects President Aquino’s development priorities for 2015. This is very important to us Filipinos.

2014 was a year of corruption. It was the year when Janet Napoles, Senator Enrile, Senator Estrada, Senator Revilla were involved in the PDAF scam.

It was also during 2014 when VP Binay was questioned for his huge properties.

May 2014 be the end of corruption.

This 2015, may this really reflect President Aquino’s development priorities for this year.

May the government religiously use it for anti-poverty and economic growth programs,  as well as strengthening governance reforms, post disaster rehab.

We are optimistic about our growth target in 2015.

Dear Mr. President please make sure that it will really work for the people.

Please do not allow corrupt officials.

To those who are in the position, please help us change for the better.

Specially the help for Tacloban, they really need the funds more than your personal agenda.

May we learn from our mistakes during the past.

Gary V scores international victory

After appearing on With Love Gary Valenciano, one of the best music specials produced by ABS-CBN, which not only aired on the Kapamilya Channel but was also replayed on Studio 23 and globally through The Filipino Channel (TFC), Gary V scores yet another victory as he recently conquered the tough New Zealand market. Despite the lack of TFC in the country, thousands flocked to the concert, proving the strength of Gary in the overseas market. 

Backstage a Kiwi native who was part of the security said, “I didn’t know who he was but after watching and listening to him, I’m a fan! He is good!” Gary was surprised when a Malaysian fan Ming Lim (wearing a Gary V T-shirt) together with Filipino wife Hazel, of Sydney flew to Auckland just to watch the concert. Performing with him was eldest son Paolo Valenciano, who drew screams and cheers from the  3000-strong audience when he sang his father’s hits like “Babalik ka Rin,” 

“Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos,” “What More Can I Say,” and “Hang On.”  The handsome but shy singer/songwriter is currently a member of the rock band Salamin and occasionally does session lead vocals for Rivermaya.  

Sponge Cola Promoting OPM

Ang Pop-rock band na Sponge Cola ay naglabas na ng ika-4 na full-length album na pinamagatang "Araw Oras Tagpuan" sa ilalim ng Universal Records ang huling Setyembre 14 sa White House patyo Carlito.

 Ang Araw, Oras Tagpuan ay sa perfet na oras, petsa, lugar para sa Yael Yuzon at ang magpahinga ng ang band. "Inspirasyon ako gumawa Ng mga kanta dahil sa mga kaibigan Ko, na kasama Karylle, madalas Ko siya kasama nung nandito pa siya, pero ngayon NASA Singapore siya, Hindi nMay gagawing .... Yun ..."

 Ang album na ito ay napaka-espesyal sa natitirang bahagi ng ang band kung saan sila ay nagpakita ng kanilang katapatan pagdating sa pag-ibig para sa paggawa ng musika. Ang bagong album sa kasama ang 12 mga track sa lahat ng mga orihinal compositions "Araw Oras Tagpuan," "Tambay," "Walang Wakas," "Babala", "Bagong magnakaw" "bagay sa hari," at "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay," na kung saan ay din carrier single ng CD.

"Araw Oras Tagpuan" ay unang proyekto ang banda sa kanilang mga bagong tambulero sa Tedmark Cruz. Spong koula ay binubuo ng mga Ateneans Yael Yuzon sa guitars, Armo Armovit sa lead guitars, sus ang Dilay sa bass at Tedmark Cruz sa drums. Awit Ang "Tambay" na nakasulat sa pamamagitan ng Yael Yuzon ay na masakitin sa MYX at iba't-ibang mga istasyon ng radyo at ang lamang na kanta ng OPM sa mga countdown ng magic 89.9 para sa mga ilang linggo.

 "Walang Wakas" ay abs CBN ang Wansapanatym Buhawi Jack themesong. Awit Ang "Bagong Steel" tampok Paolo Valenciano at ang CD mismo ay tampok ng mga bisita vocals mula sa Tanya Markova miyembro Norma Love, Iwa Motors, at MowMow. Ang album na ito ay kanilang unang buong haba album at karamihan ng ang awit ay orihinal na isinulat ni Yael Yuzon.
